Jennifer Moss was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois and is a graduate of Northwestern University. Upon graduation, she entered the technology field as a database programmer and custom software developer.
In 1995 she transitioned to the internet platform and launched one of the first parenting websites, BabyNames.com.
From 2000-2011 Jennifer Moss enjoyed a second career in photography with a studio out of Los Angeles. Her images have been published in both U.S. and international media. Although she doesn’t currently shoot professionally, she still enjoys photography for art and pleasure.
Her first book, The One-in-a-Million Baby Name Book was published in 2008 by Perigee Press (a division of Penguin) as a companion to her website. She has since written two more non-fiction books, The Baby Names Workbook, and Yosemite Home Companion.
Jennifer transitioned into the world of fiction with her first novel, Town Red, published by Black Opal Books in 2012. Town Red is the first in a series of “mysteries with a metaphysical twist” featuring homicide detective Ryan Doherty and psychic empath Catharine Lulling. Subsequent books include Way to Go, Taking the Rap, and Friend of the Family.
