How to simulate Catharine Lulling’s Iced Tea Recipe:
Catharine uses black dust tea leaves for her famous family iced tea recipe. The closest you can come to this in the supermarket is to buy Lipton’s Iced Tea Bags and PG Tips (from England). Catharine does not use artificial sweetener, so she recommends using real sugar or stevia as a sugar substitute.
1 Lipton’s Iced Tea Bag (Family Size)
2 PG-Tips tea bags
3 pinches of ground ginger
1 pinch of crushed mint
1 gallon of water
1 squirt of lemon juice
1 squirt of lime juice
1 TB of sugar or 2 packets of stevia (or let guest sweeten to taste)
